Data Matrix print labels

Create print-sized Data Matrix labels from CSV or pasted codes. Download separate PNG files together in one ZIP, or choose a PDF with multiple labels per sheet. Everything runs in your browser.

Code source

CSV with a Code or КодМаркировки column, or a TXT file with one code per line. UTF-8 and Windows-1251 supported.

Leave empty to fit the available area. Offsets move the matrix from its centered position.

GS1 mode recognizes AI fields and inserts FNC1 separators. Use exact text to match the source project.

How would you like to download the labels?
Codes ready: 0

Your codes stay in this browser. No upload to a server. Maximum 1,000 codes and 5 MB per file.

How to use this tool

Upload a CSV or paste one code per line, choose the label size and resolution, check the preview, then download the PNG files as a ZIP.

Prepare Data Matrix labels for printing

This tool turns a list of Data Matrix codes into individual, print-sized PNG labels. It is useful when you already have product marking codes and need a consistent layout for a label printer, a print shop, or a sheet of labels. Set the physical dimensions in millimeters, inspect the first result, and export the whole batch in one ZIP archive.

What can you use it for?

Batch label production

Import a CSV with a code column, a TXT file with one code per line, or paste codes directly. Each code becomes a separate PNG, so you can prepare many product or package labels with the same layout.

A layout that fits your stock

Choose the label width and height, margins, matrix size, position, colors, and caption. Place the caption above, below, or beside the code, or omit it when only the matrix should be printed.

A measurable print file

Select 150, 300, or 600 DPI. The tool converts millimeters to pixels and writes the resolution into each PNG, making the intended physical size available to print software.

Several labels on one sheet

For ordinary paper or pre-cut sheets, choose A3, A4, A5, US Letter or a custom page size. Set portrait or landscape orientation, page margins and spacing between labels. The tool calculates how many labels fit without changing their physical size, shows the page layout, and creates a multi-page PDF. Print it at 100% scale; choose the ZIP when your printer needs separate PNG files.

From codes to a test print

  1. Load the source file or paste one complete code per line. For CSV, select the column containing the codes and, if needed, a separate caption column.
  2. Choose exact-text encoding for data that is already prepared, or GS1 mode when the tool should interpret AI fields and insert FNC1 separators.
  3. Set the label dimensions and adjust the matrix and caption in the live preview. Check the module-size warning if the code is dense.
  4. Download the ZIP, print one sample at 100% scale, and test it with the scanner that will be used in practice before printing the full batch.

Questions about Data Matrix label printing

Which source files are supported?

Use CSV or TXT, or paste codes into the text field. CSV can contain a code column and an optional caption column. UTF-8 and Windows-1251 files are supported.

Will the label print at the size I entered?

Each PNG is generated from your millimeter dimensions and selected DPI, with DPI metadata included. In your print dialog, keep scaling at 100% and disable automatic fit-to-page options; printer software can otherwise resize the image.

What if the matrix looks too small or dense?

Increase the physical code or label size, allow more space around the matrix, or reduce the encoded data if possible. The preview warning helps identify small modules, but only a test print and scan can confirm the result on your printer and material.

Are my marking codes uploaded?

No. The file is read, the preview is rendered, and the PNG and ZIP files are created in your browser. The codes are not sent to the server by this tool.
